Proposta de condicionamento e isolamento acústico na recuperação do antigo cine teatro rex, em Lençóis, Bahia

Abstract

The main goal of this paper was to intervene in an existing architectural renovation project, related to the recovery of the Cine Teatro Rex, the old cinema of Lençóis, Bahia. The intervention proposal aims to present material and project recommendations that can optimize the acoustic performance of the proposed auditorium. Initially , it was investigated the historical and cultural relevance of the cinema's existence for the town. In this context, a historical survey of the Cine T eatro Rex was carried out, which extends from its inauguration to its closure, going through revitalization attempts until reaching its current use. This study highlights the value of rescuing said heritage and, consequently , ensuring adequate acoustic performance for its use. After analyzing its current configurations and the existing proposals for the recovery of the building in question, it was conducted a study on the fundamental concepts of acoustics, which was essential for the definition of project solutions. Based on these concepts, the intervention proposal was elaborated, focusing on recommendations for the acoustic isolation and acoustic conditioning of the Cine Teatro Rex’s screening room.
